Carly Pearce Broke Up With A Guy For Being Mean To Her Dog
August 21, 2026 5:55 amCarly Pearce once broke up with a guy who was mean to her Shih Tzu, Johnny.
She wrote a song about it called “He Don’t Like My Dogs” it’s on her upcoming album, “Honest Woman”, which comes out August 28th.
“I was in a relationship where somebody was not nice to Johnny and that was it. Johnny and I talked. We kicked him out of the family. And my favorite thing about this is he will know exactly that this song is about him when he hears it.”
Carly’s had two Shih Tzus that are named after Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash.
