Celebrity Passings This Weekend: Regis Phillbin, John Saxon, Peter Green & Olivia De Havilland

This weekend saw the passing of a lot of beloved celebrities, from the big screen to the main stage.

On Saturday, Regis Phillbin died of natural causes at the age of 88. We learned of Regis’ passing and immediately reminisced on his days on Live and Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?

We also learned of John Saxon’s passing on Saturday, who died at 83 due to complications with pneumonia.

He is best known for his role as Roper in Enter the Dragon & as Donald Thompson in Nightmare on Elm Street (and an array of other tv shows & movies)

Saturday also saw the death of Peter Green, guitarist for Fleetwood Mac and renowned songwriter. He peacefully in his sleep but exact reason is still unconfirmed. 

Peter leaves behind a legacy cemented in music forever, even being  inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

 

On Sunday, Olivia De Havilland died due to natural causes. She is best known as the classic star who played Melanie Hamilton in Gone With the Wind.
