Taylor Swift Broke A Billboard Record Set By Whitney Houston

Taylor Swift has surpassed Whitney Houston for the most weeks at No. 1 by a woman on the Billboard 200 album chart.

The record set by Whitney Houston stood for more than three decades: The singer has surpassed Houston for the most weeks at No. 1 by a woman in the Billboard 200 chart.

According to Billboard, Taylor’s album Folklore has racked up seven weeks at #1, which gives Swift a career total of 47 weeks ruling the chart. Houston had 46 weeks in her career.

Third top-charting woman is Adele with 37 weeks.
