Fortney, Bill (Age 83, Elmwood)

Bill Fortney of Elmwood, passed away surrounded by his loving family at Hanover & District Hospital on Friday, May 22nd, in his 84th year.

Loving father of Georgina & Don, Jo-Anne & Glen, and Suzette. Beloved best friend of Ruth Seifried. Cherished grandfather of 4, and great-grandfather of 8. Dear brother of Robert, Jeanette & Francis, Jackie & Doug, Leona & Rick, and Lee & Teresa. Bill will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at the Elmwood Community Centre on Friday, June 19th, from 6 to 9 p.m., with words of remembrance at 7 p.m. Bill loved to dance and listen to live music, so if you have an instrument, please feel free to bring it and join the jam, the way Bill would have wanted.
