At the Box office, Eternals earned $71M in North America – the fourth-highest opening of the pandemic to date. It has taken in $161.7M Globally. Denis Villeneuve’s Dune was a distant second place with $7.6 million, and No Time To Die remained in third place with $6.1 million.
Meanwhile, Salma Hayek who plays Ajak in Eternals – has confirmed she could reprise the role in future blockbusters, but insisted there’s no guarantee. She did, however, sign a deal with Marvel for multiple movies.
Vin Diesel has challenged Dwayne Johnson to set aside the pair’s feud and return to the Fast and Furious franchise for its 10th film. Vin claims he made a promise to their late co-star Paul Walker, that the 10th film would be “the best” In an Instagram post he wrote “My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. Hobbs can be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny.”
Kylie Jenner and her partner Travis Scott are sending their “thoughts and prayers” to the families of those who died at Scott’s Astroworld Festival on Friday. Attendees are suing Travis Scott and the event’s organizer, Live Nation, in what’s likely the first of many lawsuits. At least 8 were killed and dozens more injured.
