Montreal singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin leads the pack with six nominations followed by Justin Bieber and The Weeknd with five, and Shawn Mendes, JESSIA and first-time nominee Pressa with four. Arkells, Avril Lavigne and others will perform. …and Marvel star Simu Liu will host the fully in-person show at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage on May 15th.
A juicy exposé on music manager Scooter Braun in Insider claims he apparently interfered with Justin Beiber‘s relationship with Selena Gomez… and rapper Lil Twist says he believes Braun repeatedly planted negative stories about him in the press back when he was friends with Bieber.
Dancing With the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy confirmed on Instagram that he made it out of Ukraine and into Poland, and described his “traumatizing” train ride. Sean Penn, meanwhile, escaped to Poland on foot.
