The dark Western “The Power of the Dog” scooped the top two honours at the British Academy Film Awards on Sunday, winning best film, and best director for Jane Campion, while sci-fi epic “Dune” picked up the most prizes with 5. It’s coming to Crave this Friday. Other winners included Encanto, Belfast, West Side Story and Will Smith in King Richard.
At the box office, The Batman easily won the weekend with another 66 million, bringing its total ticket sales over two weekends to nearly 240 million. And the Mark Wahlberg/Tom Holland movie Uncharted took in 9.3 million for second place.
Oscar-winning actor William Hurt has passed away at the age of 71. He had been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer which had spread to the bone in 2018.
Hailey Bieber is “doing well” after suffering a blood clot to the brain. She confirmed on social media that she had been treated for “stroke-like symptoms” and recovered in a matter of hours.
Stewart Reynolds, aka Brittlestar, got to interview Ryan Reynolds about The Adam Project…and it’s fun, as you’d expect. but also very cool that Ryan Reynolds knew who Stewart Reynolds is, and they’re not even related!
