Celebrity Status – Emmys, The Bachelorette… And Leo And Gigi??

Squid Game star Lee Jung-jae made Emmys history as the first person to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for a non-English show, as well as the first Asian man to take home the prize. Ted Lasso took home four trophies, including its second straight Outstanding Comedy Series and repeat Emmys for Brett Goldstein and Jason Sudeikis.
Other winners included Zendaya in Euphoria, Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, Nathan Lane for Only Murders in the Building, as well as Ozark’s Julia Garner and multiple wins for The White Lotus – including Jennifer Coolidge! – and Succession.
Saturday Night Live took home another Outstanding Variety Series Emmy and creator Lorne Michaels said season 48 premieres on Oct. 1 with four new cast members.
In other headlines… The Bachelorette‘s live finale event starts tonight, with the grand finale episode and “After the Final Rose” live special on Sept. 20.
People is reporting that Leonardo DiCaprio and Gigi Hadid are “getting to know each other.”
And ICYMI…The Amazing Race Canada comes to Grey-Bruce for tonight’s episode. They’ll visit Tobermory, Wiarton and Meaford.
