At the movies James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ finally hits theatres today. It comes 13 years after the original and is the first of four planned sequels. Kate Winslet says working with James Cameron on this movie was ‘so far apart’ from ‘Titanic’ 26 years ago.
Earlier this week, Netflix released the latest episode of My Next Guest with David Letterman and he travelled to Kyiv, Ukraine to speak with president Volodymyr Zelenskyy…and if you missed its release last Friday, Guillermo del Toro‘s re-imagined Pinocchio is a stop-motion musical. Netflix also has a documentary about the making of the movie.
Elsewhere, Yellowstone has its midseason finale on Sunday, and the new prequel series 1923 makes its debut, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.
‘Beautiful: The Carole King Musical’ ran on Broadway for five years, and now a movie version is in the works starring Daisy Edgar-Jones from ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’.
This Is Us star Justin Hartley returns to TV as a survivalist in ‘The Never Game.’ Based on Jeffery Deaver‘s best-selling novel, he plays Colter Shaw, a “reward seeker,” who aids both law enforcement and regular citizens to solve mysteries.

On SNL this weekend it’s the Christmas show. Lizzo will take the place of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs… and Elvis is in the building! Austin Butler who starred in the Elvis movie will host.
