Celebrity Status – Oscars, Miley, Killer Keanu And Star Wars
March 8, 2023 11:12 amFor Wednesday, March 8th:
Keanu Reeves is thrilled to have a fungicide named after him: A group of newly discovered compounds kill as efficiently as Keanu’s alter ego John Wick, so German scientists have named them “keanumycins.” Keanu said, ‘Thanks, scientist people!’ (Side note: we should keep some of those ready in case The Last of Us becomes reality.) He also declared his love for his hometown Toronto Maple Leafs in a recent Ask Me Anything on Reddit. John Wick: Chapter 4 opens in theatres later this month.
Kevin Feige and Patty Jenkins‘ future Star Wars movie projects are being shelved. Disney has gone all in on Star Wars TV shows though, and as for any other planned projects? Star Wars fans can safely expect some new announcements in early April, when the Star Wars Celebration fan convention takes over London.
Andrew Garfield, Florence Pugh, Halle Bailey, Elizabeth Banks, Jessica Chastain, Nicole Kidman and Sigourney Weaver are just some of the stars who will present at Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony. Jimmy Kimmel will three-peat as this year’s Oscars host. He said of the invitation, “Being invited to host the Oscars for a third time is either a great honor or a trap.”
Peter Griffin, Homer Simpson, and Bob Belcher will be all together on the same show. This Sunday’s episode of Family Guy will feature a crossover scene with The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers
Coming to Disney + on Friday… Backyard Sessions, a concert by Miley Cyrus.
