‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ swings into theatres this weekend with Miles, Gwen, and a force of interdimensional Spider-People as they travel through the multiverse to tackle a new threat. Also in theaters, the Stephen King horror movie ‘The Boogeyman’.
Also, travel back to Lebron James‘ high school days with the Peacock movie ‘Shooting Stars’. And The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp star in the series debut of ‘The Idol’ on HBO/Max
In other movie news, Ted Lasso’s Hannah Waddingham recently joined the ‘Mission: Impossible’ franchise and will next be seen in ‘The Fall Guy’ movie. She said it was a conscious decision to immediately play roles very different from Rebecca.
And Dwayne Johnson is coming back for another Fast and Furious movie. But it’s not a sequel to Hobbs & Shaw, nor is it Fast 11. Apparently, the movie will act as a bridge between Fast X and Fast X: part 2. Not surprisingly, Vin Diesel is not expected to costar, although his company is one of the producers on the movie.
Ming Na Wen received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. Some of her many credits include The Joy Luck Club, Mulan, ER, The Mandalorian, and The Book of Boba Fett.
