Celebrity Status – Box Office, The Newest Bachelor Is Golden, And Paul Rudd Is Still Awesome!
July 17, 2023 10:43 amFor Monday, July 17th:
“Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One” launched with a franchise-best $80 million over five days, with $56.2 million of that coming in over the weekend, easily taking top spot at the box office. Second place went to Angel Studios’ “Sound of Freedom” starring Jim Caveziel, taking in $27 million. Last week’s top film, ” Insidious: The Red Door ” slid to third.
Love isn’t just for the young! The first teaser for the new series ‘The Golden Bachelor’ is here. The franchise’s signature red rose is turned gold for the senior Bachelor, but the teaser doesn’t reveal who the leading man is. That happened this morning on Good Morning America. Gerry Turner, age 71, is the first Golden Bachelor. The show will air Mondays this fall at 10 p.m. on ABC
Michael J. Fox paid a glowing tribute to his wife Tracy Pollan on their 35th wedding anniversary. thanking her for 35 years of love and support. “35 years of laugher, living, listening and loving you Tracy Pollan. Thank you for it all. Forever yours, Mike.” (What?? You mean his wife doesn’t call him Michael J. Fox?)
And just when you think you couldn’t love Paul Rudd any more, you hear a story like this. Claud, an indie artist signed to Phoebe Bridgers’ Saddest Factory Records label, ran into Rudd at a Taylor Swift concert and asked him to be in a music video. And because he’s Paul Rudd and a stellar human, he said yes! (Probably didn’t hurt that Claud has a song called Paul Rudd, either!)
