Stand Up To Cancer is hosting its eighth telecast to raise funds for cancer research and treatments. The hour-long special, titled ‘How It Started, How It’s Going’, will feature celebrities such as Justin Timberlake, Julianne Moore, and Eric Stonestreet, among others. Comedy skits from past editions will feature comedians such as Kevin Hart and Melissa McCarthy. The telecast will air on over 50 media platforms in North America on August 19th.
Robbie Robertson, beloved frontman for The Band, passed away yesterday in Los Angeles at the age of 80 “after a long illness,” according to his publicist. The Band began as supporting players for Ronnie Hawkins in the early 1960s and became the backing band for Bob Dylan before going on to their own success as The Band.
Madonna tells fans in a series of photos on Instagram that her postponed Celebration tour will be back on track ‘very soon.’
