The comedian replied, “Well, I have a little secret for you about the ending. But I can’t really tell it because it is a secret. Here’s what I’ll tell you, OK, but you can’t tell anybody. Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending. Hasn’t happened yet. And just what you are thinking about, Larry and I have also been thinking about it. … In 2018, Seinfeld mentioned on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that a revival of Seinfeld was possible. Is that what he’s referring to? Some are speculating that Seinfeld’s tease may be related to the upcoming 12th season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, which was created by and stars Larry David, who was a co-creator of and head writer on Seinfeld.
TARAJI P. HENSON AND HALLE BAILEY STAR IN THE COLOR PURPLE TRAILER _ The Color Purple is back. The book turned film turned musical turned film will be in theaters Christmas day, and a new, full-length trailer was released Tuesday. The film stars Taraji P. Henson, Halle Baily, Fantasia Barrino, Jon Batiste, Louis Gossett Jr., David Alan Grier, H.E.R. and Ciara. • TRAILER
BRUCE WILLIS’ WIFE CELEBRATES THE DEBUT OF MOONLIGHTING ON HULU _ The romantic comedy series Moonlighting, starring Bruce Willis and Cybil Shepherd, is now available for streaming and Emma Heming Willis, wife of Bruce Willis, expressed her excitement on Instagram, posting a photo of her husband and Shepherd in character. The popular series, which ran from 1985 to 1989, follows the relationship between private investigators David Addison and Maddie Hayes.
… Last year, it was revealed that Willis would be stepping back from his career due to cognitive issues. He has since been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
GWEN STEFANI GETTING A STAR ON WALK OF FAME _ Gwen Stefani is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The singer will be honored during a ceremony on October 19. Stefani’s star will be the 2,764th.
… The pop icon got her start as the frontwoman for the band No Doubt. From there she launched a successful solo career and has branched into other business ventures, like launching her own clothing and beauty lines. She has also served as a coach on The Voice for several seasons — that’s where she and her husband Blake Shelton first met.
MARGOT ROBBIE AND RYAN GOSLING’S STARRING IN OCEAN’S 11 PREQUEL _ Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling‘s combined star power helped power Barbie to $1.4 billion in worldwide ticket sales, and Warner Bros. is hoping to duplicate this success with its upcoming Ocean’s 11 prequel movie, which is set to reunite the pair. The film will be the first Ocean’s project since the Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett-led Ocean’s 8 in 2018.
… Not much is known about the prequel other than the involvement of Robbie and Gosling.
JEOPARDY WON’T RETURN TO NORMAL UNTIL APRIL 2024 _ Writers Guild of America strike continues to impact Jeopardy scheduling and its format. The producers of the show recently announced that they will prioritize airing post-season tournaments for Season 39. This includes the Second Chance tournament for Season 39 contestants, Champions Wildcard featuring contestants from Seasons 37 and 38, the Tournament of Champions, and the Jeopardy Invitational Tournament. The strike prevented new clues from being written, resulting in the use of recycled clues and those written prior to the strike. With the strike now over, new clues will be written by Writers Guild members, but it will still be several months before regular episodes with new contestants air — in April of 2024.
EMILY BLUNT AND CHRIS EVANS IN NETFLIX’S PAIN HUSTLERS TRAILER _ Netflix has released the first full trailer for the film Pain Hustlers, which will arrive in theaters for one week before streaming on Netflix later this month. The movie first premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. Pain Hustlers follows the story of Liza, a single mother who gets a job at a bankrupt pharmacy in hopes of providing a better life for her daughter. However, Liza soon finds herself caught up in a criminal conspiracy and must navigate an increasingly unhinged boss and the devastating consequences caused by the company she works for. The film stars Emily Blunt, Chris Evans, Catherine O’Hara, and more. The film will be released in select theaters on October 20 and will begin streaming on Netflix on October 27. • TRAILER
