Celebrity Status – NHL All-Star Performers, Superbowl Ads, And The Cutest Competitors
January 31, 2024 10:32 amFor Wednesday, January 31st:
It’s that time of the year. No, not winter. No, not awards season (although it IS both of those things too.) It’s Super Bowl commercial season! Kate McKinnon is in a Hellman’s ad this year. She’s eating spoonfuls of the stuff while trolling fellow Saturday Night Live alum Pete Davidson, who did an ad for them last year. There’s a talking cat who dates Pete Davidson, but we won’t spoil the rest for you…
Fans of ‘Suits’ may be getting a little more legal drama. According to Deadline, a new show is in development at NBC with series creator Aaron Korsh, BUT it seems this one will feature new characters in a new location, possibly LA. However, there could be potential for the original characters to come back as guest stars.
Mildmay’s Owen Riegling will be part of the NHL All-star festivities Friday evening, performing a tune during intermission of the skills competition. (Fun fact: my phone likes to change his last name to Reisling. I’m a fan of that too, so I’m not opposed to it!) And The Reklaws, who hail from Waterloo Region, will sing the Canadian National Anthem Saturday afternoon.
A new Celine Dion documentary from Amazon MGM aims to ‘raise awareness’ of stiff person syndrome. Celine said ”I wanted to document this part of my life … to help others who share this diagnosis.”
And it’s Team Cuddlers vs. Team Adorables for the puppy and kitten bowl this year to raise awareness for animal adoption. It airs on Great American Family Channel on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 11th, from noon-2
