Deadpool & Wolverine
Never one for humility, Ryan Reynolds‘ Deadpool declares himself to be no less than “Marvel Jesus” in the new trailer for his third outing as the Merc with a Mouth — but his first as an official part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This movie also marks the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine to the big screen, after he supposedly bid farewell to the character with 2017’s Logan. Although it had been assumed that the movie would just be called Deapool 3, this trailer reveals an official title that speaks to the prominence of both costars. Award-winning Succession star Matthew Macfadyen is also along for the ride, playing a TVA bureaucrat who seems to be in charge of incorporating Deadpool into MCU continuity.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. The fourth movie in the franchise is the first by director Wes Ball, set many years after Matt Reeves’ acclaimed trilogy.
Wicked
At long last, one of the most successful Broadway musicals of the 21st century is coming to the big screen. The first trailer for the long-awaited Wicked movie is full of iconic images: The green skin of Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), the pink clothes of Galinda/Glinda (Ariana Grande), winged monkeys, the Emerald City…and a young girl named Dorothy, who might play a bigger role than in the musical.
Twisters
Glen Powell‘s big year continues. Fresh off his rom-com Anyone But You and with his new Netflix movie Hit Man on the horizon, the Top Gun: Maverick star is also filling the late Bill Paxton’s shoes as the star of the upcoming sequel to the 1996 tornado thriller. True to the plural title, the new trailer for Twisters reveals that these storm chasers will have to deal with two storms at once. Daisy Edgar-Jones (Where the Crawdads Sing, Normal People) stars alongside Powell in the new film directed by Lee Isaac Chung (Minari).
IF

Monkey Man
Starring Dev Patel. The anonymous Kid (Patel) ekes out a meager living in an underground fight club where, night after night, wearing a gorilla mask, he is beaten bloody by more popular fighters for cash. After years of suppressed rage, Kid discovers a way to infiltrate the enclave of the city’s sinister elite. As his childhood trauma boils over, his mysteriously scarred hands unleash an explosive campaign of retribution to settle the score with the men who took everything from him. Monkey Man premieres in theaters April 5.
