Celebrity Status – Movies, SNL, Cyndi, And The Biebers
March 1, 2024 9:43 amFor Friday, March 1st:
Cyndi Lauper is selling a majority share of her music catalogue, in a deal to create an immersive show with The Pophouse Entertainment Group, co-founded by ABBA singer Björn Ulvaeus. The aim is to develop new performances and live experiences, bringing her music to a wider audience in new ways.
In theatres this weekend… the biggest release is ‘Dune: Part Two’, starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, and more. One review calls it “brutal, barbaric… and a total blast.”
In “Spaceman” on Netflix, Adam Sandler stars opposite a large and mysterious but friendly and curious spider, where he plays an solitary astronaut.
Saturday night Oprah sits down with Angela Bassett on the OWN Spotlight special… On SNL, Sydney Sweeney hosts with musical guest Kacey Musgraves… And Sunday on HBO/Max, Kate Winslet stars in the series debut of “The Regime.”
And in other headlines… there is speculation that Justin and Hailey Bieber‘s marriage may be hitting a rough patch after Hailey’s dad Stephen Baldwin made a post asking for prayers for the couple. BUT so far it may be just that: speculation.
