SERIES PREMIERE: POPPA’S HOUSE (8:30p ET, CBS) – Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans, Jr. star in this new sitcom. Wayans plays a legendary talk radio host and happily divorced “poppa” who finds himself still parenting his adult son (Wayans Jr.), who is trying to pursue his passion of filmmaking while being a responsible father and husband. Essence Atkins, Tetona Jackson, and Geoffrey Owens also star.

SEASON PREMIERE: WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS (10p ET, FX) – The 6th and final season begins with 3 episodes (of 11 total). The remaining episodes will air weekly. Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) finds a job on Wall Street, with Nandor (Kayvan Novak) secretly spying on him. Meanwhile, Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) fulfills her own corporate dreams, Laszlo (Matt Berry) becomes a mad scientist, and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) hunts for a new friend.

$600 BUZZ LIGHTYEAR TOY _ Do you have $600 burning an asteroid-sized hole in your pocket? If so, the new Buzz Lightyear robot might be for you. A collaboration between Pixar and smart toy company Robosen, the new Buzz is fully loaded with more than 3,000 tiny parts, 75 microchips, and 23 servo motors. It also features what Robosen calls “first of its kind micro-servos,” which is what helps Buzz make those intricate eye and mouth movements.

… You can activate the robot using voice commands or by pressing one of the multicolor buttons on his chest, but he really comes to life with the app, which unlocks a number of different features. GOOSEBUMPS: THE VANISHING TRAILER WITH DAVID SCHWIMMER _ David Schwimmer warns his kids to “stay out of the basement” in the first trailer for Goosebumps: The Vanishing. The next chapter of Hulu’s anthology series, based on R.L. Stine’s  “Goosebumps” books, premieres all eight episodes on January 10 across Disney+ and Hulu. It’s inspired by Stine’s 1992 novel, “Stay Out of the Basement,” the second book in the “Goosebumps” series.

BRYAN CRANSTON RETURNS AS WALTER WHITE FOR AN ANTI-LITTERING CAMPAIGN _ Bryan Cranston is reprising his iconic role as Walter White, but not for a new series — this time it’s for a public service announcement in New Mexico. The campaign, titled “Breaking Bad Habits,” aims to raise awareness about littering. In the ads, Cranston’s character warns, “Keep litter out of my territory,” reflecting Walter White’s notorious past. The New Mexico government is investing $3 million into the campaign, which includes billboards, TV ads, and community cleanup efforts.

DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN TO HIT DISNEY+ IN MARCH _ New York Comic Con attendees received thrilling news with the announcement of “Daredevil: Born Again,” set to premiere on Disney+ on March 4. The series, starring Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, continues the saga of the superhero and his formidable foe, Kingpin, in the Big Apple.

JENNIFER LAWRENCE EXPECTING SECOND CHILD _ Actress Jennifer Lawrence is pregnant with her second child. The news was confirmed by Vogue magazine, citing Lawrence’s publicist. The gender and due date of the baby have not been revealed.

… The 34-year-old Oscar-winning actress and her husband, art gallerist Cooke Maroney, tied the knot in October 2019. The couple already has a 2-year-old son named Cy.
