Celebrity Status – Movies, Yellowstone And SNL

For Friday, November 8th:

Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of Liam Payne, charged with “abandonment of a person followed by death” and “supplying and facilitating the use of narcotics.” One of the people was often with him during his stay, one is a hotel staffer and one is a known drug dealer.

In the upcoming comedy “Dear Santa,” directed by the renowned Farrelly Brothers, Jack Black plays the unconventional role of Satan stepping into the shoes of Santa… must have been a typo. The movie comes to Paramount+ November 25th.

In theatres this weekend ‘The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’ gets us into the spirit, starring Judy Greer and Lauren Graham. ‘Heretic’ is a religious-horror starring Hugh Grant as diabolical Mr. Reed who’s playing a deadly game of cat and mouse with some young Mormon missionaries.

In ‘Elevation,‘ from the producers of A Quiet Place and The Purge, the world has been overrun by deadly monsters and the only habitable place left for humanity is in the high mountains, above 8,000 feet.

Elsewhere, Comedian Bill Burr is hosting SNL this weekend.. And season 5 of ‘Yellowstone’ finally returns with new episodes on Sunday. The show will no longer include Kevin Costner and his character John Dutton, but will focus on the rest of the family trying to save the ranch.

And McCauley Culkin has been signed to the cast for season two of ‘Fallout’. No word yet on plot details for his character… maybe they find him Home Alone in a shelter?
