For Tuesday, December 10th:

Golden Globe nominations were announced yesterday with Selena Gomez getting recognition for both movies and TV. Her movie ‘Emilia Pérez’ had the most nominations among movies, and while ‘The Bear’ led the nods for TV, it was followed by Shōgun and Only Murders in the Building, which saw all three stars earn a nomination. Also among the nominees are Adam Brody, Kristin Bell, Timothée Chalamet, Cynthia Erivo, Demi Moore, Zendaya and Nicole Kidman. Miley Cyrus made the list too for co-writing a best original song nominee.

Box office numbers and audience praise weren’t enough to score a best director nomination for Denis Villeneuve for directing ‘Dune: Part Two’ or Jon M. Chu for Wicked, although the musical did get a best film nod. Also snubbed, Ryan Reynolds for Deadpool and Wolverine, and Meryl Streep for ‘Only Murders in the Building’ among others. The Golden Globes will be handed out January 5th.

Night 1 of The Voice finale ended with some standout performances and tears from Snoop Dogg. Night 2 and the crowning of the winner happens tonight, with Kelly Clarkson performing her new holiday song, “You for Christmas” …plus a Sting and Snoop duet, and more.

Also, on streaming today… ‘Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was’ (comedy special) on Netflix.

Chris Evans is returning to marvel for ‘Doomsday’… but no word yet on what character he will be playing.
