Alec Baldwin is suing for malicious prosecution and civil rights violations after dismissal of the case against him in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halayna Hutchins on the set of Rust. Baldwin also alleges defamation, saying that prosecutors and investigators intentionally mishandled evidence
At the movies this weekend, ‘The Last Showgirl’ is a poignant film of rhinestones and resilience. One reviewer calls Pamela Anderson ‘dazzling’. Jamie Lee Curtis and Dave Bautista also star.
Also in theatres, ‘Better Man’ is a biographical musical film about the life of British pop singer Robbie Williams… and ‘Den of Thieves 2: Pantera’ stars Gerard Butler.
Tonight on the small screen, HBO/Max has the comedy special ‘Bill Maher: Is Anyone Seeing This?’ … it’s the season finale of Outlander, on the W Network in Canada… and on Sunday night it’s the season finale of the Billy Bob Thornton drama ‘Landman’, another show from Taylor Sheridan, the creator of Yellowstone. And yes, he does put himself in this show too!
And ICYMI: last night was the debut of the Hollywood Squares reboot, featuring Drew Barrymore as the centre square.
