Celebrity Status – BeyGOOD, The Weeknd, Postponements And A Breakup

For Tuesday, January 14th:

Beyoncé capped off her Christmas Day NFL halftime show with an Instagram tease that a big announcement would arrive today. But that announcement is being put on hold for now as wildfires continue to devastate southern California. She has also started The BeyGOOD LA Fire Relief Fund which has donated $2.5 million to directly support community relief organizations and families who lost their homes.

Meanwhile, The Weeknd has delayed the release of his new album Hurry Up Tomorrow, and has canceled his L.A. concert. The album will be released January 31st and the concert has not been rescheduled. The Oscar nomination announcement has also been postponed

Elsewhere, Carrie Underwood will perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration, saying she loves her country, and ‘We must all come together in the spirit of unity.’ She will perform “America the Beautiful” between the swearing in of the next VP and the President.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson have split after 10 years of marriage.
