Yesterday was World Cancer Day, a perfect time for the Terry Fox Foundation and the Tragically Hip to team up for a new short film called ‘Finish It.’ “Terry Fox and Gord Downie were both such loved Canadians and they both did such amazing things that it seemed a natural fit,” said Terry’s niece. The clip from Finish It features the Hip anthem ‘Courage’ and can be seen online at terryfox.org as well as on TV and in Canadian movie theatres.

A Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot is in the offing. Hulu is developing a follow-up to the cult favorite series, with original star Sarah Michelle Gellar attached somehow. No plot details but it’s described as “the next chapter in the Buffyverse.”

The FireAid benefit concert for those affected by the devastating Los Angeles-area wildfires has raised more than $100 million so far, half of which is thanks to L.A. Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and his wife Connie, who matched every donation.
