Celebrity Status – New Movies, Live Action Lilo, And Where’s Kelly?

For Friday, March 14th:

Kelly Clarkson has been missing from daytime TV. The Kelly Clarkson Show still went on though. Simu Liu was asked to fill in when he arrived for a guest appearance that aired March 3rd. Since that day she hosted for a couple of days and then a variety of celebrities have stepped in. According to TMZ, Kelly is “completely fine” and has been “dealing with a personal matter.” She was expected to resume filming yesterday, so look for those next week.

In theaters this weekend, Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender and others star in the espionage thriller ‘Black Bag’, a spy story with a marital twist. Also in theaters, Ayo Edebiri and John Malkovich lead the thriller ‘Opus’….

‘The Electric State,‘ set in an alternate version of the 1990s, premieres on Netflix today. It stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt. And the Barbie movie also makes its Netflix debut today

Ohana means family, and Lilo & Stitch‘s family is growing fast with a whole new cast list for the live action movie, including Hannah Waddingham, Zach Galifianakis, Courtney B. Vance and Tia Carrere as well as some local Hawaiin actors. Newcomer Maia Kealoha will play Lilo.

Jeff Daniels is joining the third season of Apple TV’s ‘Shrinking’, playing Jason Segel’s character’s father. alongside series regulars Harrison Ford, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams and Ted McGinley.
