Celebrity Status – Hailee’s Wedding Plans, LeBron Doll, And A Community Movie

Jillian Lauren, a true-crime author and the wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, was involved in a bizarre standoff Tuesday. There was an unrelated investigation in her neighbourhood when she came out of the house with a handgun. When warned to drop the gun she did not and was shot and then arrested by LA police. She has since been accused of attempted murder.

Basketball great LeBron James has become the first professional male athlete to have his own Ken doll. The LeBron Ken doll was unveiled yesterday to kick off Mattel’s “Kenbassador” series. His likeness wears sunglasses, headphones and a blue-and-white letterman’s jacket with “LJ” on the left breast, his number 23 on the right sleeve and his name on the back. Last year, nine female athlete Barbies were introduced, including one of tennis star Venus Williams.

Hailee Steinfeld is currently on a press tour for her new movie ‘Sinners’ with Michael B. Jordan which hits theatres next Friday. When asked about wedding plans – she’s engaged to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen — she tried to avoid the question but it doesn’t mean there’s trouble in paradise. They’re just trying to keep things private. I’m guessing sometime in June, before training camp for the NFL begins.

Today on Max, the new hit medical drama ‘The Pitt’ wraps up its first season, while ‘Hacks’ is back for its fourth. And on Netflix, ‘Black Mirror’ has its season premiere and the viral YouTube dating series ‘Pop the Balloon’ has its debut on Netflix too.

And ‘Community’ is officially coming to the big screen.​ Joel McHale confirmed to Us Weekly exclusively that the long-awaited Community movie will hopefully begin filming this fall after getting some funding.
