Walt Disney Co. executives were expected to meet Thursday with Jimmy Kimmel to discuss the future of his program. According to a source, Disney’s ABC network would like to put the show back on the air, but that will depend on finding a path forward that satisfies both Kimmel and his critics. The company hasn’t asked Kimmel to apologize, nor does Kimmel have any plans to do so.
Saturday Night Live has announced the first batch of hosts and musical guests for season 51. For the season opener on Oct. 4th: Bad Bunny will host with musical guest Doja Cat. The following week, SNL alum Amy Poehler is slated to host on the show’s actual 50th anniversary and on Oct. 18th Sabrina Carpenter will pull double duty as both host and musical guest.
At the movies this weekend, Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie go on “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” and
Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers star in the supernatural sports thriller “Him” Plus, Josh Duhamel is a hitman in ”London Calling” who must redeem himself by taking his son along for a hit.
In other movie news, Martin Scorsese‘s next movie will be the ghost story ‘What Happens at Night’ for Apple Original Films, based on the novel by Peter Cameron. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence are set to star.
Multiple sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Taylor Swift is prepping to return to theaters. The news comes just weeks before the release of her new album, The Life of a Showgirl on October 3rd. The content of the theatrical event is unclear, but sources say that it will be tied to the new album and could also drop that weekend.
And if you’ve been waiting all year for this, it’s here! ‘Halloween Wars’ has its season premiere on the Food Network this Sunday.
