For Monday, November 24th:

One year after part one of Wicked was released, the epic conclusion “Wicked: For Good” earned $150 million from North American theatres in its first weekend and $226 million globally. It’s the biggest opening ever for a Broadway musical adaptation, beating its own record from last year… and it’s the second biggest debut of the year behind “A Minecraft Movie’s” which earned $162 million. None of the other new movies made the top three.

On the smaller screen, “House of the Dragon” — the “Game of Thrones” prequel — has been renewed for Season 4, on HBO sometime in 2028…meanwhile, the third season will arrive next summer. And HBO has renewed “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” for Season 2, and season 1 hasn’t even aired yet. The series premiere is slated for Jan. 18, 2026.

Leighton Meester and Jared Padalecki are bringing another holiday rom-com to Netflix this holiday season.
They announced late last week that they will star in an adaptation of Katherine Center’s novel The Bodyguard. Andie MacDowell, Walker Hayes and more will also star in the film.

And the title of Most Valuable Comic Ever goes to ‘Superman No. 1’ … it sold for a Record $9 Million
The 1939 comic smashed the old record held by Action Comics No. 1, the issue that introduced the Man of Steel.
