Celebrity Status – SNL, More Taylor, And Tate Is Doing Great

Calgary’s Tate McRae is on the cover of Rolling Stone next month, and inside she talks about her “introspective, awkward Canadian” side, her on-stage alter-ego whom she calls Tatiana, as well as her whirlwind year and what’s next. Tate is only 22 after all. The next single off her deluxe album SO CLOSE TO WHAT??? will be Horseshoe.

At the movies, in ‘Ella McCay’ a young woman becomes governor and must navigate so many relationships. It’s a comedy about the people you love and how to survive them, starring Emma Mackie, Jamie Lee Curtis and Ayo Edebiri. And expanding wide in theaters, Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal star in ‘Hamnet.’

And on Netflix, Daniel Craig is back as Benoit Blanc with a new whodunnit to solve in “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.” This one is set at a rural church, where the Monsignor, played by Josh Brolin, has been murdered. The stacked cast also includes Glenn Close, Josh O’Connor, Kerry Washington, and Jeremy Renner, among others.

Taylor Swift takes fans behind the scenes of her Eras Tour in the docuseries, ‘The End of an Era’, with the first two episodes dropping today…PLUS ‘The Eras Tour: The Final Show’ (recorded in Vancouver last December) is also out today. Both are on Disney+.

On Saturday Night Live this week, Lily Allen is the musical guest and Josh O’Connor, who is in the latest Knives Out movie, will host.

In other headlines, David Letterman told Jimmy Kimmel this week that he was mistaken for Dick Van Dyke.

Snoop Dogg has been named an honorary coach for Team USA at the Winter Olympics in February.
