Celebrity Status – SNL, New Movies, A Marriage And A Scottish Snowplow

Saturday Night Live has a few new shows coming up this month. On Dec. 20th for the holiday episode Ariana Grande is returning to “SNL” for her third stint as host. She’ll be joined by musical guest Cher, who will take the Studio 8H stage for the first time since her first appearance in 1987. On Dec. 13th Josh O’Connor will make his “SNL” hosting debut alongside musical guest Lily Allen. and this weekend it’s Melissa McCarthy hosting with musical guest Dijon.

In theaters this weekend… ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2’ stars Josh Hutcherson, Megan Fox and McKenna Grace… also ‘100 Nights of Hero’ with Emma Corrin and Charli xcx; and Kristen Stewart’s directorial debut, ‘The Chronology of Water’ stars Imogen Poots and Thora Birch.

On Netflix, George Clooney stars as ‘Jay Kelly‘, a famous movie star who just wants to spend a little time with his daughter, but she’s headed to Europe for vacation so he follows her. Adam Sandler is in this one too.

Also on streaming, Apple TV has the holiday special ‘The First Snow of Fraggle Rock’…

And Hallmark’s new dating series ‘Twelve Dates ‘Til Christmas’ debuts today. Find everything Hallmark on the W Network in Canada.

In other headlines… Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha on Sex and the City, married her longtime boyfriend, audio engineer Russell Thomas, on Thursday at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London, England.

And a city in Scotland just named their snowplow ‘Lew-Ice Ca-Plow-di’ after Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi!
