Celebrity Status – The Voice And Survivor Finales, Snoop, The Stones And Charli XCX
December 17, 2025 9:51 amFor Wednesday, December 17th:
There’s a new winner of The Voice. After all the votes were counted, Aiden Ross, a 20-year-old from Texas, was the last one standing on season 28. That makes it three for three for coach Niall Horan. He has won the show each season that he’s been a coach. The current coaches will all take a break when the show returns for season 29 as The Voice: Battle of Champions, starring Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine, artists who have all coached winning contestants on the show. Look for that to premiere Feb. 23
While he’s on a break from The Voice, Netflix has scooped up Snoop Dogg for the Christmas Day halftime show during the Vikings and Lions game. And then in early February he’s off to Italy as a correspondent/ honorary coach for the Winter Olympics. And just announced this week, Mariah Carey will perform at the opening ceremonies in Milan on Feb 6th.
Fans of Survivor will have to wait a little longer tonight to find out who wins. The three-hour finale will be paused for a CBS News Special Report to air President Donald Trump’s live primetime address to the nation, after which it will pick up where it left off.
According to Variety, The Rolling Stones have called off plans for a 2026 stadium tour of the United Kingdom and Europe, following reports that guitarist Keith Richards, who turns 82 tomorrow, is said to be unable to commit to the rigors of another tour.
In other headlines, Disco icon Donna Summer has been posthumously inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame… and Charli XCX is reportedly in preliminary talks to star in season 4 of The White Lotus.
