For Monday, February 23rd:

The BAFTAs were awarded last night with “One Battle After Another” and “Sinners” scoring some pre-Oscars love. One Battle picked up 6 awards including Best Film, Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson, and Best Supporting Actor for Sean Penn. Sinners won three: Best Supporting Actress for Wunmi Mosaku, Best Original Score, and Best Original Screenplay for writer-director Ryan Coogler.

Robert Aramayo, who played a young Elrond in Prime’s ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,’ won for Best Actor in the Tourette’s syndrome drama I Swear and picked up the EE Rising Star Award. Jessie Buckley won the Best Actress award for her starring role in Hamnet, which also won Outstanding British Film. And Zootopia 2 won for Best Animated Feature.

Meanwhile, last year’s Oscar acting winners — Adrien Brody, Kieran Culkin, Mikey Madison and Zoe Saldaña — will return to the 98th Academy Awards to present trophies to the next wave of winners. Additional presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

Steph Curry’s animated family film GOAT overtook Wuthering Heights at the North American box office over the weekend. GOAT earned $17 million for first place, Wuthering Heights earned $14.2 million,
