Celebrity Status – Movies, BTS And Bye Bye Bachelorette
March 20, 2026 11:22 amFor Friday, March 20th:
ABC has pulled ‘The Bachelorette’ with Taylor Frankie Paul which was set to premiere this Sunday, after a video from 2023 surfaced showing her attacking her ex, Dakota Mortensen, in front of her daughter. Now, this incident wasn’t a secret — there was also something about soft-swinging in the news back then — but altogether maybe it was too much of a negative message to continue. Her ex is also named in the current domestic assault investigation that we mentioned earlier in the week. A statement from Taylor’s spokesperson said, “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected.”
At the movies, Ryan Gosling goes to outer space in ‘Project Hail Mary’. He plays a science teacher who must solve the riddle behind a mysterious substance that’s causing the sun to die.
Also in theatres… Rose Byrne stars in ‘Tow‘, the true story of Amanda Ogle, a homeless woman who fought her way out of tow-company hell to reclaim her life and her car. Octavia Spencer and Demi Lovato are also in this one.
Plus, Cillian Murphy is Tommy Shelby once again for the movie “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man” coming to Netflix today… and “Wicked: For Good” makes its streaming debut today on Peacock.
Tomorrow to celebrate the release of their new album, BTS makes their monumental return with a global live performance from Seoul’s historic Gwanghwamun Square. ‘BTS The Comeback Live’ arrives on Netflix at 7am
And this weekend, there is no new episode of SNL from New York, but Tina Fey will host the first-ever episode of SNL UK alongside musical guest Wet Leg.
