Celebrity Status – Reacher, The Madison And Colbert’s Next Project

Alan Ritchson, the star of the ‘Reacher’ franchise, won’t be facing criminal charges in that fight with his neighbor. Ritchson was wearing a body cam at the time as he was riding his motorbike with his kids, and based on the video, police say he acted in self-defense. Ritchson has declined to pursue charges against his neighbor.
On The View, Joy Behar left the table ahead of an interview with Carrie Underwood. Behar previously criticized Carrie’s decision to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration, but the show says it was just a production decision to allow more room for the three American Idol judges who were on the show together.
In movie news, Netflix is doing a ’13 Going on 30′ remake, and yes, Jennifer Garner is involved… but as an executive producer. Emily Bader and Logan Lerman will star, but the internet isn’t convinced we need this reboot.
And Stephen Colbert is reportedly co-writing a new ‘Lord of the Rings’ movie. It will depict chapters 3-8 of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring, which did not appear in Jackson’s original film trilogy. The film will come after ‘Lord of the Rings: Hunt for Gollum,’ which is currently in development from director Andy Serkis and expected in theatres sometime next year.
And fans of Taylor Sheridan‘s new series ‘The Madison’ with Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell will be happy to know that season 2 is already filmed, which means we could even see it before the end of the year! Get. In. My. Eyeballs!
