For Wednesday, April 1st:

Happy April Fool’s Day! (To our knowledge, all stories here are true.)

Taylor Swift‘s latest album has sparked a lawsuit from a writer. Maren Wade claims trademark infringement, false designation and unfair competition against Swift and UMG Recordings. She seeks unspecified damages and a court order barring Taylor from continuing to use her album’s name, The Life of a Showgirl. Wade appeared on America’s Got Talent in 2014 and began writing a column in the Las Vegas Weekly called “Confessions of a Showgirl”. Since then, it’s also become a podcast and live show.

Megan Thee Stallion has been hospitalized after exiting ‘Moulin Rouge! The Musical’ on Broadway mid-performance last night. A spokesperson for her told Entertainment Weekly, “We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.” She’s scheduled to remain in the part through May 17.

It was a first for American Idol last night! Ryan Seacrest told viewers that, for the first time in history, they were not going to announce the eliminations. Viewers can now vote in five different ways, including a new social media voting system that resulted in “tens of millions of votes coming in at a rate they had never seen before. So, to ensure complete accuracy with the numbers, they postponed the live elimination.

Supergirl starring Milly Alcock hits theaters on June 6th, and we just got our first trailer for the DC flick. If Milly Alcock looks familiar, she recently starred as Simone Dewitt in ‘Sirens’ and appeared in the first season of HBO’s ‘House of the Dragon’ as a young Rhaenyra Targaryen.

Andrew Lloyd Webber really disliked the 2019 Cats movie that was based on his musical, calling it ‘appalling’. He despised it so much, in fact, that he bought a little dog. It’s his therapy dog on planes. Under ‘reason for dog on plane’ he puts ‘Cats movie’… And he says they always come back saying, ‘No doctor’s certificate required.’
