It’s that time of year again; Kenesserie Camp cleanup day is tomorrow.

Volunteers are needed to rake leaves, move picnic tables & benches, pick up brush, clean the kitchen, cabins & staff accommodations. Lunch and snacks provided. Great if you’re looking for volunteer hours.

Cleanup begins at 9 a.m., looking for morning, afternoon and all day help. If you plan on volunteering, let them know here.


There’s a blood donor clinic tomorrrow at the Portuguese Canadian Social Club of Chatham from 10:30-2:30 p.m.

No walk-in appointments are available. Book your appointment at Blood.ca, call 1-888-2-DONATE or use the apps.

If you’re unable to donate this week, the next clinic locally will also be at the Portuguese Canadian Club May 16th.


The Windsor Spitfires have advanced to the Western Conference Finals.

The Spits beat Flint 5-3 to sweep the semi-final series and move on. They’ll play either Kitchener or Soo.

The NHL begins the Stanley Cup Playoffs tomorrow.

The tripleheader kicks off with the Ottawa Senators and Carolina Hurricanes at 3 p.m., Minnesota Wild vs Dallas Stars at 5:30 p.m., and Philadelphia Flyers take on the Pittsburgh Penguins at 8 p.m.

We get a break from the rain today, with some sun and clouds and a high of 19°C. Rain expected tomorrow.

A sharp change on Sunday with a cold front rolling through – the high is just 8°C. Sunshine returns Monday, and the temperatures climb back to the 20’s by Tuesday.
