One year ago today the Chatham Maroons won the Sutherland Cup.

Chatham beat the St. Catharines Falcons in game 6 to secure their second ever championship.

This years Maroons weren’t so lucky, falling in the second round. The Cambridge Redhawks won this years Sutherland Cup.

A contestant on The Price Is Right made history on Friday.

“Vanesa from Virginia” won more than 240-thousand dollars on Friday’s Mother’s Day episode — the biggest prize ever won in a single pricing game in the show’s 54-year history.

She was playing a new game called The Lion’s Share, where contestants guess grocery prices to earn cash prizes… but risk losing everything if they keep going. Vanesa didn’t stop — and ended up winning 227-thousand-500 dollars in cash, PLUS a trip to Morocco worth more than 12-thousand dollars.

The previous record was 210-thousand dollars back in 2016.
