We are about to experience our warmest stretch of weather since October. ☀️🌡️
Today brings a cool, breezy mix of sun and cloud with a high of 16°C. Temperatures will dip to 4°C overnight.
Friday is when things really start to warm up, with plenty of sunshine and a high of 21°C.
Then the long weekend turns summer-like, peaking on Victoria Day Monday when temperatures are expected to soar to 30°C.


The NFL will release its 2026 regular-season schedule tonight.
The schedule reveal will air as a special broadcast on NFL Network beginning at 8 p.m., featuring full season matchups, primetime games, and key rivalry dates.
This year’s schedule will kick off in early September with all teams playing a full 17-game schedule. The season will ultimately conclude with Super Bowl LX, set for February 2027.

The 108th PGA Championship tees off this morning just outside Philadelphia.
It’s the second major tournament of the golf season following last month’s Masters Tournament. Scottie Scheffler is the defending champion after winning the 2025 PGA Championship.

Scheffler and Rory McIlroy enter as the favourites this week. McIlroy is coming off another Masters victory as he looks to add a third PGA Championship title.

U.S. coffee chain Dunkin’ Donuts is returning to Canada through a deal with Canadian operator Foodtastic.
The plan is to open hundreds of locations—starting in Quebec and Ontario this winter, then scaling to roughly one new store per week.
Experts are saying the rollout could reshape the morning coffee battle across the country.

Today is National Caesar Day! National Caesar Day falls each year on the Thursday before the May 2-4 long weekend – the unofficial Canadian kick-off to Summer.
The Caesar was invented in 1969 by the restaurant manager of the Calgary Inn (today it’s the Westin Hotel) in Calgary, Alberta. It’s now known as Canada’s National Cocktail.
THE CLASSIC CAESAR
Ingredients:
- 1 oz (30 mL) vodka
- 2 dashes hot sauce
- 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
- 3 grinds fresh cracked salt and pepper
- 4 oz (120 mL) Mott’s Clamato Original Cocktail
Rimmer: Celery salt or Mott’s Clamato Rimmer
Garnish: Celery stalk or lime wedge
Directions:
Rim a highball glass with citrus and rimmer. Fill the glass to the top with ice. Add the ingredients in the order listed. Stir well to mix the cocktail, and garnish.
