Welcome to June! Following a beautiful weekend, fantastic weather will continue across C-K, warm and dry most of the week.

Sunny and a high of 24°C today, with more humidity later in the week. So far, an early peak at the weekend has some rain in the forecast.

The Chatham-Kent Film Group will screen Souleymane’s Story tonight at the Chatham Capitol Theatre.

Showings at 4 and 7p.m.. Admission is $12 (cash only) and tickets can be purchased at the door.

The C-K Film Group screens international and independent films the first Monday of the month.

June is Senior’s Month.

This month, the older adults of Chatham-Kent are celebrated for their knowledge, experience, leadership, volunteerism, mentorship, and ongoing contributions to the community.

The Kitchener Rangers are Memorial Cup Champions.

The Rangers defeated the Everett Silvertips 6-2 in Kelowna to win their third Canadian Hockey League title.

The Memorial Cup is a four-team round-robin tournament played among the champions of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), Western Hockey League (WHL), and a host team. London only lost one game in the tournament.

The Rangers roster includes Cameron Arquette from Wheatley.

The finals are set in the NBA and NHL.
