The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers are hosting the Canadian Baseball League All-Star Weekend this Saturday and Sunday at Fergie Jenkins Field.
The two-day event includes a Home Run Derby, and Skills Competition on Saturday. The best of the CBL – All-Star Game is Sunday. Part of Tweedsmuir Ave will be closed for a free-family-friendly festival with food, entertainment and activities.

RM Classic Cars is hosting Cars & Coffee tomorrow.
Cruise on in to RM (One Classic Car Drive, Blenheim, Ontario) for a morning of all things automotive.
All are welcome 8–11 a.m., rain or shine, with coffee and pastries – while they last. Come see why Chatham-Kent is ‘Canada’s Classic Car Capital’.

The Canadian Tire Mitchell’s Bay Open begins today.
The 12th annual bass tournament takes place today and tomorrow and is a live release bass tournament held on Lake St. Clair. Teams of two anglers compete for the highest weights and biggest fish over the two-day tournament. Organizers are planning for more than 80 boats on the water.
The weigh-in begin at 3 p.m. daily at Mitchell’s Bay Marine Park and spectators are welcome to come watch for free.
Fishing legend Bob Izumi will join CKMORNINGS at 8:40 a.m. this morning, or catch it later on the CKMORNINGS ICYMI Podcast.


Local breweries Sons of Kent, Bayside Brewing, Red Barn Brewing, and Glasstown Brewing Co. have teamed up for BrewFest 2026; Outdoor summer parties hosted at the breweries sponsored by Teksavvy.
Tomorrow, Sons of Kent kicks it off with will host SummerFest in the backyard. EauFest is August 8th in Erieau, FarmFest at Red Barn on September 5th and RiverFest September 12th.

7-Eleven Canada is celebrating with its annual 7-Eleven Day promotion, which means you can stop by and grab a free small Slurpee before midnight!

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Slurpee. Winnipeg continues to hold its title as the Slurpee Capital of the World, with residents consuming more Slurpees per person than any other city on the planet.
Random Fact: 7-Eleven got its name from its 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. operating hours introduced in 1946. Many locations later expanded to 24-hour service in the 1960s.
