The Heat Warning continues today in Chatham-Kent.

A “heat dome” is keeping southern Ontario in this sauna. The large area of high pressure acts like a lid, trapping hot, humid air near the ground and preventing cooler air from moving in.

Forecasters say today should be the hottest day of the summer so far, and the heat is expected to stick around until at least Wednesday, possibly Thursday.

Today’s high is 35°C, feeling like 43° with the humidex.

The MLB All Star Game is tonight in Philadelphia

The Blue Jays are represented by starting second baseman Ernie Clement and pitcher Dylan Cease. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was elected as the AL’s starting first baseman but will not play in the game. Pitcher Louis Varland is a reserve.

Representing the Tigers is starting outfielder Riley Greene, and reserves: catcher Dillon Dingler, shortstop Kevin McGonigle, and Justin Verlander.
