Blenheim CherryFest in Blenheim begins today.

World’s Finest Shows midway, sidewalk sales, live entertainment, and lots of cherries today, tomorrow and Saturday!

The Canadian National Cherry Pit Spit Championship is Saturday at 1:30. Anyone can give it a try!

CherryFest has been a Blenheim tradition since the 1980s and is one of Chatham-Kent’s longest-running festivals.

Blenheim stays busy tonight with the Summer Concert Series at Talbot Trail Place.

Stop by the park on Thursday nights during the Summer for live entertainment between 7-8:30. Come by tonight to see Orangemen.

Dresden’s also rocking tonight, when the Dresden Rotary Club Summer Concert Series takes the stage.

The Celtic Hillbillies at 7. A BBQ begins at 6.


It’s a Summer Movie Doubleheader Day at the Chatham Capitol Theatre today.

Bring the family out this afternoon for a family activity at 2 p.m, then stick around to see A Bug’s Life beginning at 3 p.m.

The Housemaid will be on the big screen tonight beginning at 7 p.m.


The Gordie Howe International Bridge‘s multi-use path now has an opening date too.

It will open Wednesday, August 5, giving pedestrians, runners and cyclists a free way to cross the border, completely separate from vehicle traffic. More information will be released before opening day.

The first vehicles will cross the bridge on Monday, July 27th.


The Open Championship begins today at Royal Birkdale in Southport, England, where golf’s oldest major is being played for the 154th time.

Royal Birkdale is hosting The Open for the 11th time and is known for its towering sand dunes, deep bunkers and challenging links conditions.

The Open wraps up the men’s major championship season and the winner will lift the famous Claret Jug, officially known as the Golf Champion Trophy. First awarded in 1873, the champion keeps the original trophy for one year before receiving a replica.
