July 24th is the 205th day of the year. There are 160 days remaining until the end of the year.

Another picture-perfect day is on tap for Chatham-Kent. Expect plenty of sunshine, a high of 26 degrees, and just a touch of humidity.

The impressive stretch of summer weather continues through the weekend, with highs around 28 degrees both Saturday and Sunday. There’s a chance of showers—and possibly a thunderstorm—moving in sometime on Sunday.

The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers will try to end their 9 game losing streak tonight.

The Barnstormers host the Guelph Royals at Fergie Jenkins Field at 7:35 p.m. They travel to Guelph on Saturday, and back home to play the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday afternoon.

Team owner Dom Dinelle will be In the Dugout with CKMORNINGS Tuesday morning with some tickets to giveaway.

The WNBA All Star Weekend begins tonight, and Chatham-Kent’s Bridget Carleton will be a part of it.

Tonight is the skills competition, including the Shooting Stars and three-point contest. Carleton is one of six players chosen for the competition. She is tied for fifth in the WNBA with 67 three-pointers made — a skill she developed on the court at John McGregor Secondary School.

The 30th annual WNBA All-Star Game is Saturday night on ABC at 8:30 p.m.

Canada’s first-ever men’s FIFA World Cup match on home soil helped make the 2026 tournament one of the biggest TV events in Canadian history.

Bell Media says 30.5 million Canadians — about 75% of the population—tuned in across TSN, CTV, RDS, Noovo and Crave.

The tournament averaged 1.6 million viewers per game over 104 matches, highlighting the growing popularity of soccer and the excitement surrounding Canada’s World Cup run.

Some big jackpots up for grabs in a couple U.S. lotteries.

The combined jackpots for Powerball and Mega Millions are over $1.3 billion.

Mega Millions is up to an estimated $743 million for tonight’s draw, while Powerball sits at $600 million for Saturday.

Here’s a fun stat for tonight’s draw. Researchers analyzed every number by how often it actually hits, not just how many times it’s been drawn. They say number 10 is the luckiest in the current game, hitting about 30% more often than average since 2017.

**Reminder—you cannot legally buy Mega Millions or Powerball tickets in Canada. You may see websites offering to buy Mega Millions tickets for you, be cautious. These services operate outside the official lottery system, and there is no guarantee that a ticket purchased through them will be honoured.
