The Chatham Concert Band is back on stage tonight.

This is the 99th year for the Summer Concert Series, the show is free beginning at 7 p.m.

Another thing to look forward to for sky watchers today.

In addition to the planet parade and Perseid meteor shower peaking on Wednesday, there is also going to be a partial solar eclipse.

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon comes between Earth and the sun, casting a shadow on Earth.

While a total solar eclipse will be visible in Europe it won’t be visible in North America.

Only the partial social eclipse will be visible in Canada and the northern portion of the U.S.

We will see about 8% coverage here in CK with the partial solar eclipse starting at 1:02 p.m., reaching its very minor maximum coverage at 1:37 p.m., and ending at 2:12 p.m. lasting for a total duration of 1 hour and 10 minutes.

And don’t forget to wear eclipse glasses if you plan on staring at the sun!

The pods are headed North!

The popular Netflix reality dating show Love is Blind is coming to Canada.

A global phenomenon, Netflix has launched 11 international spin-offs of Love Is Blind to date, which has singles try to find a match and fall in love without seeing eachother face to face.

Canadian singles are invited to apply now for the chance to enter the pods, which will officially open sometime in 2027.

Thats not the only thing headed to Canada…so is Joey Chestnut.

The famous competitive eating champion will make an appearance at a Toronto food festival next month to defend his poutine eating record.

Most famous for his domination at hot dog eating competitions, Chestnut will compete again in the Smoke’s Poutinerie World Poutine Eating Championship.

He currently holds 55 world titles, including the current first-place World Poutine Eating Competition title from last year’s event, where Chestnut put away an astounding 26.5 lbs of poutine in 10 minutes.
