The Weather Network has released their Fall Forecast.
The three-month outlook calls for normal fall conditions through September and October, including some chilly stretches and the potential for strong storms. But an ongoing El Niño could help keep winter at bay, with a drier pattern potentially developing later in the fall and continuing into November.
For Southwestern Ontario, the outlook suggests fewer storms overall, but meteorologists warn that when storms do develop, they could still pack a punch.

The Chatham-Kent Crimestoppers are hosting the Children’s Safety Expo Saturday at St. Clair College in Chatham, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Kids and families can check out emergency vehicles, meet first responders and see demonstrations including the Jaws of Life, a rollover simulator, fire extinguisher training and a K9 agility display.
There’s a free digital fingerprinting clinic for children and a free car seat clinic offered.


The Toronto International Film Festival begins today.
TIFF runs through September 20, with nearly 300 films screening at venues across Toronto. Fans can also catch red-carpet arrivals from designated viewing areas along King Street.
And this weekend, Festival Street returns, with King Street West closed to traffic for live music, food trucks, outdoor movies and family activities.
Organizers are expecting nearly half a million people to take part in one of Toronto’s biggest annual events.

IKEA has announced its new London location will open October 29 at White Oaks Mall.
The store is part of IKEA’s smaller concept, offering a selection of products in-store while giving shoppers access to the company’s full range online.
The closest IKEA option for C-K is Burlington or Toronto.

An Olympic women’s rematch is coming to Windsor.
Team Canada Women’s Hockey Team will host the Americans in an exhibition game on October 28th at the WFCU Centre.
It’s a rematch of February’s Olympic gold-medal game, where the U.S. beat Canada in overtime. The game will be a warmup as both teams prepare for the 2026 Women’s World Championship in Denmark.
