The camp’s third annual Halloween Family Fun Day is from 2 to 4 p.m., with pumpkin carving, slingshots, spooky games and a costume parade at 3:30. Families can enjoy a free hot dog and s’mores around the campfire.

The camp welcomed 416 campers this summer, and brought in more than 750 local students through school programs.

The Municipal and School Board Election is Monday.

Voter cards were mailed out in September. If you haven’t received yours, contact your local municipal centre. You can also check that you’re on the voters’ list and that your information is correct at VoterLookup.ca.

Polls will be open on Election Day from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. For more information go to CKElection.ca.

The World Series gets underway tonight, with two teams looking to make history. The Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays are both chasing their first-ever World Series championship.

Airbnb will start cracking down on over-the-top checkout chores, so guests won’t have to spend hours cleaning up while still paying a cleaning fee.

Starting November 20th, Airbnb will limit what hosts can ask guests to do. Basic requests, like throwing out garbage, turning off lights and locking doors, are still fine. But hosts generally can’t require guests to strip beds, take garbage off-site, or wash and put away dishes — jobs typically handled by cleaners.

The new rules apply globally, and hosts must disclose house rules in their listings. Guests must still follow reasonable house rules.

The October full moon, known as the Hunter’s Moon, reaches its peak early Monday morning, at around 12:12 a.m..

For the best chance to see it, look to the sky Sunday evening as the moon rises. The Hunter’s Moon gets its name from the time of year when people traditionally hunted and stored food ahead of winter.
