Someone in Ontario could be sitting on a $40-million lottery ticket — and today is the last chance to claim it.
The winning Lotto Max ticket was purchased at an authorized retailer in Grey County for the October 28th, 2025 draw. The ticket expires today, exactly one year later. The winning numbers were 6, 14, 17, 19, 26, 43 and 45, with bonus number 27.
The sad part is that the ticket hasn’t even been checked yet, either on the OLG app or at a retailer. Ontario Lottery and Gaming has every piece of information about the ticket, except one critical detail: who owns it.

They do know exactly where the ticket was purchased, when it was bought, and what other lottery products may have been purchased with it, including Encore, LOTTO 6/49 or Proline. They’re asking the ticket holder to come forward, even if they’ve lost the ticket. OLG says it will do its due diligence to confirm the person is the rightful owner, with the goal of paying out the $40-million prize.
So far, 60 people have come forward claiming they have the winning ticket, but the information they’ve provided hasn’t matched the details on file.
Anyone who thinks they may have the ticket should contact OLG immediately at 1-800-387-0098 or visit OLG.ca to start the claim process. If the prize goes unclaimed, the $40 million will be returned to players through future bonus games or promotions.

It’s taken years but cereal is finally getting an upgrade – Cheerios is teaming up with Ziploc to introduce PantrySeal, a resealable cereal bag with a built-in pour spout.
The new packaging lets you pour cereal more easily, then seal the bag back up inside the box to help keep it fresh.
PantrySeal will debut in regular Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios boxes, starting at Walmart.com in the U.S. before hitting stores across the country. There’s no word yet on when, or if, the new packaging will make its way to Canada.
A survey found 90% of people were already using their own tricks to keep cereal fresh, like clips or transferring it into containers.
