Meet Freddie Mercury!

Meet Freddie Mercury, the 7-month-old puppy who is officially entering his teenage era – and he is ready to PAW-ty!

Freddie was adopted from us as a tiny baby, but sadly found his way back to the shelter when his family experienced financial difficulties. Now he is back, bigger, bouncier, and full of teenage puppy energy!

Freddie is the LIFE OF THE PARTY. He absolutely loves other dogs and would happily play all day long if someone let him. He plays hard and has a ton of energy, so he will need a doggy playmate who enjoys the same kind of enthusiastic, full-speed-ahead fun. He may also need some help remembering that even professional party animals need forced nap breaks!

This boy is incredibly food and toy motivated, eager to please, and SO much fun to train. He has not had a ton of formal training yet, but he is already showing just how much potential he has. Freddie knows sit, down, touch, and a short-distance recall, and he is beginning to understand the basics of “watch” and “leave it.” He learns quickly and is always ready to figure out what you are asking of him.

His leash manners are still a work in progress because there are simply SO MANY EXCITING THINGS happening when Freddie gets outside to unleash his sillies. With consistency, exercise, and training, we expect those skills to improve quickly.

Freddie has lived with children and would love an active home that is ready to keep his body AND his brain busy. He will need plenty of physical exercise, mental enrichment, playtime, training, and appropriate downtime to help him become the best version of himself.

Freddie does have a strong chase instinct, so he is looking for a home without small animals such as cats, rabbits, or other small pets.

One important note: Freddie LOVES his food. A little too much, perhaps. He will need some space while eating so he can enjoy his meals without anyone bothering him.

Freddie is goofy, energetic, smart, playful, and absolutely bursting with potential. He is looking for a family who is ready to embrace the teenage puppy chaos and help him turn all that enthusiasm into excellent dog skills.

If you are looking for a fun-loving adventure buddy who is ready to learn, Freddie Mercury might just be your guy!
