Meet Rosie!

Hi! I’m Rosie! I’m an 8-year-old Shepherd mix with a soft heart, a gentle soul, and a whole lot of love to give… I just happen to be looking for a bit of a special home to match.

I’m what you’d call a “gentle giant.” I love being near my people-whether that’s lounging in the yard, soaking up the sunshine, or quietly keeping you company while you go about your day. I’m not much of a marathon walker (honestly… I prefer backyard hangs over big adventures), but I will happily follow you around for some quality time and, of course, sneak in a few kisses whenever I can.

I’ve got great manners, too! I’ll let you know when I need to go outside, and I’m perfectly content with a calm, easygoing routine. Stairs, though? Not really my thing-especially the big ones. I’d do best in a home where I don’t have to tackle those.

Now, I want to be honest, because finding the right home matters so much for me. I do have some medical needs. I have a bit of incontinence that I take medication for, and I’m also on pain management to help keep my hips and back end feeling comfortable. Keeping me at a healthy weight is really important so I can stay mobile and happy. My meds make a big difference in how I feel day-to-day, and my future family will need to be committed to keeping me on them. (Don’t worry-everything can be talked through in detail if you’re interested in me!)

When it comes to other animals… I’m a bit particular. I don’t mind dogs out on walks or passing by, but living with one full-time isn’t really my style-I like my space and I’m not shy about saying so. Because of that, I’d do best as the only dog in the home.

Cats, though? Oh, I love them. Truly. Tiny, furry friends I can gently admire (and maybe sneak a kiss or two).

At the end of the day, I’m just a sweet, easygoing girl who wants a quiet home, a comfy place to rest, and people who will love me for exactly who I am-and help me feel my best in my golden years.
