Laughter Matters – Dan Levy Shares New Show

I don’t know if you’ve ever embraced the brilliance of Schitt’s Creek, but it’s up there as one of my all time favourite shows. I’ve watched the entirety of it — more than “thrice”. (if you know, you know and Schitts Creek fans will understand the reference).

It’s a show that felt like the whole world was watching through the pandemic. A show that focused on the importance of family, loving others for who they are no matter what, and community. And they did it with so many laughs.

Nothing will ever be able to replace it. Especially now after the recent passing of Catherin O’Hara who played Moira Rose, a character so unique, so charming and loveable and had us laughing through each episode because of the way she spoke and her unique vocabulary.

Dan Levy brought Schitts Creek to the world with the help of his father Eugene Levy. It won multiple awards and is still so loved around the world.

But now, there’s a new show to talk about.

The new show “Big Mistakes” promises to make us laugh and feel connected in a completely new way. The idea comes, as Dan shares with Kelly Clarkson, from an irrational fear that Dan has of being blackmailed into organized crime. He also shares the game the cast and crew are addicted to.

It’s called “Big Mistakes” and it’s now streaming on Netflix.

Dan says, “I have to say, when I left Schitt’s, I really wanted to make sure that the next thing I did in TV gave me that same sense of inspiration and passion and excitement and love and affection for the people I was working with — and it did.”
