I have been working with an amazing local nutritionist who is helping me to focus on fueling my body with good for me foods.

Working on mindset around food.

Not easy. But the older I get, the more aware I am of the importance of eating foods that fuel my body. My waistline reminds me when I get “off track” (smile).

So many reasons to focus on good foods! Weight loss is only a small part. Eating better means feeling better.

Where I get in trouble? I do really well for a few weeks, and then I talk myself into going back to old habits. I’m an emotional eater for sure. President of the club. (smile)

But right now, I’m doing well. I’m eating good foods – focusing on protein, carbs and fat with every meal. No snacking after dinner.

I also know that I want to have fun with food and get excited about what I eat so sometimes I have to almost ‘trick’ myself into thinking it’s not really that good for me. (smile)

Today I made these Breakfast Brownies and they were so good I wanted to share the recipe.

Takes a bit of time to make – but so worth it!
